Absinthe Holy Spirits Verte is based on a French Absinthe recipe from 1855, and was the favorite drink of David Zibell's great-great-grandmother, who served it both to her husband and in her own \"Estaminet\" (a traditional inn in northern France). The FDC version is the barrel aged version, as FDC stands for \"Fût de Chêne\", French for oak cask. The cask aging gives the \u003cspan\u003eAbsinthe spirit\u003c\/span\u003e some additional notes, slightly smoky and woody.\u0026nbsp;\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbsinthe Holy Spirit FDC Verte\u0026nbsp;is made from a sugar cane and beet base and consists of 8 herbs: 5 for distillation, including anise, fennel, calamus root, Artemisia Absinthium and locally grown Artemisia Atborescens, and 3 herbs for color: Artemisia Pontica, hyssop and lemon balm.
