In the strong absinthe section of our store, you will find Absinthes that are based on the maximum legal thujone content of 35 mg/l in the EU. Thujone is released during the distillation of wormwood and is therefore a component of a real Absinthe. Unfortunately, many half-truths surround this ingredient. For this reason, we would like to explicitly emphasize that absinthe does not cause hallucinations. It is not a psychedelic drug. Nevertheless, strong Absinthe should be consumed responsibly, especially given its high alcohol content of over 60% alc by vol.
