This glass Absinthe fountain is smaller, as it has 2 instead of 4 spigots. We like this fountain for its easy handling and cleaning. An Absinthe fountain replaces a water carafe and drives the Absinthe ritual to perfection: Firstly, the slow drip of water easily dissolves the sugar cube. Secondly, the water and Absinthe blend very slowly, which is important to get a swirly, milky louche. We can guarantee you, preparing Absinthe with a fountain is a unique experience. Every veritable Absintheur should call one his own!

How to use an Absinthe fountain

In the following video, you can see, how Absinthe is prepared using an Absinthe fountain. The difference to using a regular water carafe is, that you add water drop by drop into the Absinthe glass. This perfectly dissolves the sugar cube and first and foremost creates an intense, slow louche. Using an Absinthe fountain is therefore simply fascinating!

Frequently Asked Questions about the
Product

The Petite fountain is a compact absinthe fountain designed for the classic absinthe preparation using dripping water. It is smaller than large bar fountains and specifically intended for private use.

Compared to larger fountains, the Petite fountain is more space-saving and lighter, but serves the same purpose. It is suitable for a few glasses at a time and is ideal when absinthe is not being prepared in a large group.

The fountain is filled with cold water, which then flows in a controlled, drop-by-drop manner into the absinthe glass. This allows the absinthe to slowly open and fully develop its aromas.

The Petite fountain is ideal for home use, for absinthe lovers who value the classic ritual but don't want a large fountain. It is also well-suited for smaller tastings.

This fountain is aimed at absinthe enthusiasts who want to consciously celebrate its preparation and are looking for a practical, elegant solution for private enjoyment.

Frequently Asked Questions
general

For the traditional ritual, three basics are usually sufficient: an Absinthe glass, an Absinthe spoon, and ice-cold water (e.g., from a carafe). Sugar cubes are optional. Those who prepare Absinthe more frequently or serve multiple people often use a fountain or a brouilleur for particularly even dripping.

An Absinthe glass is shaped to better highlight the aroma and mixing ratio. Many classic models (e.g., Pontarlier glasses) support the typical dilution with water and ensure that the louche effect develops beautifully and controllably – something that often appears less "harmonious" in a simple tumbler.

The Absinthe spoon is placed over the glass to hold a sugar cube while water slowly drips over it. "The right one" primarily depends on the glass size and style: It is important that it rests steadily and offers enough surface area for the water to flow through evenly.

Carafe: simple, flexible, ideal for beginners Brouilleur: controlled drip directly onto the glass, very classic Fountain: perfect for quiet, even dripping and when several glasses are to be prepared one after another (or simultaneously) – often the "ritual upgrade."

For glasses: clean gently, especially with delicate shapes or decorations – ideally with mild dish soap and a soft cloth. Spoons (depending on material/finish) should be stored dry to maintain their surface and shine. For delicate or coated items, hand washing is usually the safest option.
