Snow Fairy Blanche Absinthe is produced on the Golan Heights in Israel. David Zibell, the owner and Master Distiller, runs the Golani Spirits distillery there. Snow Fairy Blanche is based on an Absinthe recipe from the 19th century. The Absinthe is clear, meaning it is not colored with herbs after distillation. This makes the so-called Blanche Absinthes softer in taste than the green Vertes.

Absinthe Snow Fairy Blanche is made on the basis of sugar cane and beets and consists of 12 herbs: Artemisia Absinthium, anise, fennel, calamus, chamomile, elecampane, coriander seeds, lavender flowers, sassafras, angelica root, cardamom and star anise. From the list you can see that Snow Fairy Blanche Absinthe uses some fancy herbs like cardamom, sassafras (fennel wood tree) and elecampane, which give this Absinthe an oriental flavor.

Golan Height Distillery

Golani Distillery is a family-run distillery in the Golan Heights region of Israel. Founded in 2014 by David and Alona Zibell, the distillery focuses on producing high-quality spirits. In 2016, they launched Israel's first-ever crowd-funded whiskey - a milestone for the family and distillery. Since then, the range has been continuously expanded. In addition to locally produced Whiskies, the range includes Absinthes and Gins that reflect the unique terroir of the region.

The name "Snow Fairy" alludes to the clear, bright appearance of this absinthe. It represents a light, cool, and delicate character that deliberately distinguishes itself from heavy or very herbal absinthes.

Snow Fairy Blanche is deliberately gentle and approachable. It does not pursue an extremely purist or analytical approach, but rather focuses on lightness and balance.

The taste is mild, clear, and elegant, with a restrained bitterness. The herbs are finely balanced and not overpowering, giving the absinthe a very smooth character.

The absence of herbal coloring emphasizes the absinthe's light, fresh style. Color and additional botanical depth would contradict the desired light character.

Snow Fairy Blanche is particularly suitable for relaxed occasions, for connoisseurs who want to experience absinthe not as a powerful ritual, but as a light, clear drink.

Frequently Asked Questions General

Absinthe is a traditional herbal spirit whose characteristic taste is primarily derived from wormwood, anise, and fennel. It originated in the border region between Switzerland and France and became widely known in the 19th century.

Absinthe is traditionally diluted with ice-cold water, which is slowly dripped into the glass – often over a sugar cube. This preparation allows the aromas to unfold and creates the typical "louche" effect, where the spirit becomes milky and cloudy.

The high alcohol content serves as a carrier for the subtle herbal aromas and preserves them. Absinthe is therefore not intended for pure consumption, but is traditionally drunk diluted with water.

Absinthe is a traditional herbal spirit, whose characteristic taste is mainly due to wormwood, anise, and fennel. It originated in the border region between Switzerland and France and gained widespread recognition in the 19th century.

For the classic preparation, an Absinthe glass, an Absinthe spoon for the sugar cube, and a carafe or fountain with ice-cold water are used. These tools allow for slow dilution and ensure a balanced taste experience.
